for this project, students are required to form a group to make a musical performance! yes, a MUSICAL PERFORMANCE! to make it more interesting, we cannot use any musical instruments and instead we make them with daily objects! !@#$

The performance turned out to be a success! we simply entertained the whole audience and we expect not less than 8/10 marks! ^.^

aka time limit: 1/2 days

after submitting the individual document(25 pages) on wednesday(took me dayss to finish it after the performance) i realise that i have SOMETHING(i was clueless that time) to submit when my friend mention something about submitting the Idea Journal before the deadline which is on Friday so my reaction goes like the same guy in the bottom picture ~.~

so for this IDJ, we were told to make a friend with an OBJECT! (how weird does that sound!) and i was chosen to partner up with a 'cloth hanger'. (making a friend as in we have to write every detail of what we know about that 'thing') >_>

Ola!

My name is Hj Muhd Syafiq Bin Hj Abd Zariful (a name given by my parents ^_^'), people in my home country call me 'Piq' so i might take that as my nickname ahaha..but please, don't purposely call me 'pig' -.-'

My whole family ^o^

I was born in 14th June 1996 and will be 17 this year ^.^ I'm also an international (a Bruneian), i'm enjoying life in Taylor's so far though i'm still struggling to communicate with chinese people ahaha...

Brunei is seriously the most peaceful place that i can think of! i have nice friends over there and most importantly, my family.

'nice' friends indeed~

i admit that i'm a clumsy person, i can be sensitive at times but i would never let out my anger towards anyone (i simply hide it), i get quiet every time,  i love to think more than talking, i also love to face random challenges, i get easily tired but i'd do anything to achieve, i never hate anyone...yet haha and my sport hobby is football :3

so overall is that i'm a hard-working MAN, always makes mistakes, very kind and a funny person

problem solving has always been my hobby since i was born (i even dream to become a detective!) but in the end i turn to design as soon as i realise my qualities.

i've experienced being a QS before, working at my dad's company and do REAL PROJECT! (i'm serious!)

i work for about 2 months while waiting for my O'level results and it was a fun experience. (i earn money as well!....from my dad -.-)

for now i'm really looking forward to achieve as much as i can to be an Architect, it's something that i aim to be after thinking throughly of who i want to become (an Architect or QS)

i have several reasons why i want to be an Architect, the main reason is that i simply love to design (digitally) i always love to edit stuff and all that. some examples:-

This course is for foundation students to learn the basics of essay writing skills, reading skills, communicating skills oral presenting and many others to prepare for their degree programs.

Writing an essay
There are 3 options that i can choose which are:

1. In some countries young people have little leisure time and are under a lot of pressure to work hard in their studies. what do you think are the causes and effects of this condition? (write a Cause and Effect essay.
2. Write a compare and contrast essay about any two traditional houses of your choice.
3. Identify the steps involve in producing an attractive sketch. Then, write an essay to describe this process.

as a result my essay is graded 'B' in which i've learned and experience a lot based on what i heard from the lecturers review. i made a lot of mistakes that shouldn't be used in this type of essay (Cause and Effect)

ASSIGNMENT 2
Oral Presentation
For this assignment, we were told to research any famous architect where we have to give an oral presentation about the architect's life, success and influences. The architect that we're goin to present about is Louis Isadore Kahn.

I went through many tries of presenting in front of the camera, it's probably because i don't have the composure and i want to make it perfect since i'm using a camera. therefore this is very new to me. it very much improves your cool, your way of talking and how you show up in front of the audience (body language).
Dividing the research on this architect with other group members is a bit of a gamble because the whole oral presentation MUST be synchronised (compatible?) or in a way it must not be different from other paragraphs that we set up on what to say. therefore we picked one of our members to reorganise the research and make it like it was just a person's essay and not in groups

REFLECTIONS
There's no doubt that this is a very useful course that will help you for the future in which i have learned how to write an essay properly, using the right grammar, communicating people with suitable words, reading skills and a lot more.

I'd like to say thanks to Ms Thivilojana for giving me good advise and teaching me new things throughout the whole course, i can't thank you enough. You've played a big part for me on my road to success.
